As You Can See Everything proves to be their Halloween-timed hit, A24 has set Jeremy Saulnier’s Halloween-themed mystery-thriller Slayground (formerly titled October) for January, but we are at least getting the first substantial look at the film this month.
With a cast including Cory Michael Smith, Chase Sui Wonders, Sophie Wilde, James Badge Dale, Stanley Simons, Stephen Root, Chris Sullivan, Young Mazino, Imogen Poots, Matty Matheson, and Macon Blair, the first official trailer has now arrived ahead of a January 29 release.
Here’s the synopsis: “Scare-actor “Metal Mike” Graves wakes up in a haunted attraction surrounded by the dead bodies of his co-workers with no memory of how they got there. As a state-wide manhunt closes in, he races to uncover the truth – even if the trail leads straight back to him.”
See the trailer below for the film, which features a score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
